The Bike... |
| My Bike as it is now | My bike is now a hybrid, I've built it over time, about the only original parts these days are the Frame and the back wheel. At the moment I am thinking of changing the Frame for a Titanium hardtail frame, and have just put a new chain-set and gearing onto it. Oh and also I want to upgrade to disc brakes at the rear too. At the moment the front wheel is a Mavic free-ride F219 black, with black spokes and a Hope XC hub, fitted with a Hope 185mm Closed 2 disc. My forks are 2001 Manitou X-Vert, with the dampening on its lowest setting. Ive got lightweight XC handlebars, Prodigy Raceface stem, and an FSA headset.

| The frame is still a GT steel (heavy) frame, with a Mavic 138 back wheel and Avid single digit 7 back Vee's, I tend to go for Michelin wildgripper tyres and use On Your Bike bike shop for any repairs/servicing which I wouldn't like to attempt. I do servicing on my bike every few weeks, and clean it up / full lube after every ride. Oh its also got Shimano SPD pedals, with the alloy cage to make them just usable without SPD shoes. |
Extreme Close Up! |
| My Bike as it was in March | Well I've just finished maintaining the bike again, I did some more maintenance on my bike stripping it down and totally rebuilding it. Now its got an XT chain set and also had a full de-grease and re-lube at the same time. Will be looking to test it as soon as I can. |
